I have one that says "patent applied for" on the gun and the serial number is very low, like 1734 IIRC and has no letter prefix like my 1941 version which starts with a B.

The barrel profile is smaller and thinner on this model than on the 1941 model and the cylinder removal latch is different. Sorry, no camera.

Any idea when made? Should I stop shooting it, is it worth a lot more due to the sort of low serial #, I doubt it.

Gun is in pretty good shape has all the bluing, a couple of tiny patches of rust came off w/o messing up the blue.

Call Numrich. They bought the rights to H&R revolvers back when, and they have more info than most out there. The earliest models they have no info on, though. I can't remember the cut-off date, but I would try them for starters.
