well i can forget H&k or sig only have 800$ to buy my new pistol. What is the best in this range?i was wanting a H&k P30L or a Sig 226 but both are over that :( Would you do maybe Walther P99 or XDM or Glock in 40 S&W
Or maybe go S&W 686 357 mag ?

Did you look at Buds? Not sure which 226 you were looking for, but they have a few under/right around $800. The P99 I've shot a few times and REALLY liked it. I thought the grip was among the most natural and comfortable I've ever felt.

i did look at buds they have one for 752.99 but it dont have night sights. want night sights

Where are the 5906s for only $299? Are they in decent shape? Im buying three.

Keep your eyes open.. on this

Well, IF you really want a "good gun" as the 2 you have spoken of wanting, most, then getting a Sig P226 without night sights is not a losing proposition, considering new, good, 3-dot night sights, mounted, would cost around another 100 bucks and you could get by for 10 months saving that up, or faster, then making the_change, on the_gun you really wanted - as most night encounters for HD/SD, even at night, offer enough light for one to use one's gun and get lead on-target without them.

Otherwise, 90% of gun you want, 90% you won't need night sights, 10% left to make gun 100% and 10% chance of it's need and a real, night sight, need, moment..

10% of a, short, wait is nothing vs getting a less desired gun w/night sights already on them but, not what you really wanted and could own with regret.

OMMV,

Ls

No one can state a valid game changing negative FACT about an XDM, Glock, SW M&P, CZ, PX4....

If an HK or Sig is what you're trigger finger desires then SAVE UP. It'll be worth it in a month or two.

If you are on the fence and not too picky....the other polymer's listed are awesome too. As is any CZ -- There's a NIB CZ-75 SP01 Tactical with a bayonet attachment in the For Sale Forums....$650.00 ... http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=569634

257WM_CDL-SF, I wish you can do a side-by-side comparison shoot of all/most of pistols you listed.

One range I shoot at has rental guns that include HKs, Sigs, Glocks, XDs, SW99, Taurus, Kimbers, SA, Colts, etc. I tell people to withhold their judgment until they do the comparison shoot using same factory ammunition.

For many who never shot these pistols first hand (even for seasoned shooters), they often get VERY SURPRISED at how these pistols shot in THEIR hands. Most will end up buying a different pistol than what they thought/heard they should buy.

You can't argue with shot groups on paper.

I highly dislike Glocks chambered in .40 S&W, can't see myself owning one, actually the same applies to all polymer framed guns in .40 S&W. Too uncomfortable to shoot.

As far as autoloaders I would go with the XDm in .40 S&W. Interchangeable backstraps allow you to fit the pistol to your hand and it has a match grade barrel/chamber with excellent casehead support.

The Smith 686 would also be a very nice addition.;)

Save up $60.. $20 for shipping and $20 for the transfer call CDNN and get the HKP30L if that is what you want.

$820+shipping+ transfer= $860 OTD.

You can find a similar deal on the Sig...

i dont think im going to be able to get a Sig 226 for 800.00 Thinking now i may try to trade my loaded 1911 for a TRP

Hey, want a H&K USP in 9mm? CDNN has them for like $550 right now. Police trade-ins, I believe.
