Anybody out there used Galco's less expensive suede version of their shoulder holster? Or another brand that's comfortable enough to wear all day? Or, does anyone have a better method of CCW than ankle or shoulder carry when wearing scrubs? I do home health in the Little Rock area. This year we're 5-6 homicides ahead of the pace for the 1 year record set back in the early '90's when HBO did that "Bangin' in the Rock" special on all the gangs/drugs. Some attribute part of it to those same bangers from back then being released/paroled in the past year or so. Ya think??? :banghead: Anyway, I occaisionally go to some pretty rough areas, already had to act armed (which I was) once to avoid being jumped by 3 punks, and need a way to tote my Kahr P40. Ankle carry is too slow. Have an IWB clip-on, but it sags & shifts frequently & is hard to draw from without also grabbing cloth. Any good ideas out there?

I've got one I use with a Kimber TacPro in 9 m or a lt wt Commander. It's OK, comfortable and discrete einough, but doesn't balance up too well with just a single magazine carrier. The harness appears to be the same at their Jackass/Miami Classic rig, so I guess it would be easy enough to go for a double mag carrier. I think it would work well with a smaller, lighter gun like your Kahr, FWIW.

Thanks for the input, everyone. Had forgotten about the Thunderwear. Always wondered how hard it would be to draw from without snagging on clothes. Plus the direction the muzzle's pointed during the draw...NOT a good time for an AD! :what: Does Kramer make the undershirt holster for any carry position other than vertical? Would be reaching up under my shirt from below when drawing the gun, so it seems having it horizontal, canted slightly muzzle-up, would be ideal.

I haven't used the suede model but have used the Miamia Classic. Seems to be a reasonable choice.

I wear scubs, too. I think I would personally find a lightweight lab coat to put on over the holster rather than trying a draw at dire need from under a scrub top.
