opinions on VX-II 2-7x33 w/ LR Duplex reticle

I'm getting a Leupold VX-II 2-7x33 with the "Long Range Duplex" reticle and i plan on mounting it on my RRA predator pursuit .223. Has anyone used the scope/reticle combo? I plan on using it for coyotes, at the range, and just for fun. I hunt in GA where the chances of a shot over 150 yds is slim. It seems that the reticle wont be right on for the 55-60gr .223 trajectory but close enough to use those dots as reference points. Any opinions??
