Overall this looks like a great package and Armalite seems to have a good reputation. Any thoughts from current and previous owners? Likes or dislikes.
The Armalite M15 - 18" Tactical seems to have the features I want.

18" barrel stainless steel barrel with a Cerakote finish and 1 in 8 twist in 5.56X45 mm / .223
free float key mod handguard w/ low profile adjustable gas block
Two-stage precision trigger
Magpul STR multi-position collapsible stock
“Raptor” ambidextrous charging handle
Accepts PMAGS
Thanks!

What is the purpose of this rifle?

If it's for serious use I would highly suggest going with something like BCM or Daniel Defense for a similar looking rifle in that price range.

I don't have that model of ArmaLite, so I can't say for sure. The ArmaLite I have is a 3 year old M15 w/ mid-length gas, 16" medium weight barrel, two-stage regular trigger, and all the rest is set up like any other older style A4 based carbine out there. It sees light duty use as I'm a middle aged guy that will likely never run it hard, but it shoots very accurately and has never bobbled on any ammo except the time I tried to use a ProMag (not the same as a PMag).

It looks like the ArmaLite you are looking at is the https://armalite.com/shop/m-15-tactical/

which compares very closely to this BCM http://shop.bravocompanymfg.com/BCM-RECCE-18-KMR-A-Precision-Rifle-AR15-p/bcm-rifle-862-790.htm

All I can do is compare spec sheets between the two. I do like that the ArmaLite is ready to shoot with included sights. I also like that the ArmaLite stainless barrel is cerakoted black instead of remaining bright. If you like two-stage triggers, you'll probably like the ArmaLite trigger. I like my M15's two-stage trigger very much for the mostly target style shooting that I do, and it's not even the precision two stage of the M15 you are looking into.

I have had an Eagle Arms/Armalite rifle for about 25 years and it has been a great rifle! It is a standard A2 and has just kept chugging along. All that being said, for that amount of money I would look at a Daniel Defense or a BCM. I am sure the Armalite is a good rifle, but the other two are proven performers.
