I will be using it for self defense and for IPSC shooting. The Sig is excelent condition w/ns and three high cap mags included.... This pistol should not have more than 500 rounds through it.
I believe I am going to go ahead with the trade. Being real helful.
I like my Beretta but I wouldn't hesitate to make that trade. I like Sigs way more than the Beretta. I have a "don't sell any of my guns" policy but I wouldn't be able to resist that trade.
I'm with everyone else on this, I have a beretta 92, and a 226 in .40, the sig is awesome, maybe the best out of the box gun made today. Getting used to the DA pull, and the de-cock, slide release takes some time, but you'll grow to love it. Nice pick up by the way.
I'd stick with what you have if you're happy with it. I believe the Beretta is as good as the 226 and you know what you have with your Beretta. The 226 is being traded for some reason.
Uuhhmmmm......Ever heard of a beretta locking block breaking and freezing the action? It happened to one of my shooting buddies and the folks at Beretta don't even want to touch his gun. Sig is not equiped with such crap.
I say one more time.....Go for the SIG!
I think the SIG is the better made gun of the two but they don't fit me well. I love my Beretta 92fs and would have a hard time trading it for a SIG. Maybe you can buy the SIG at a good price and have both.
I went from Beretta to Sig. For me the Sig is much better. Once you get the controlls down, you'll wonder why no one else does it that way.
I hated the lever on the slide.
On my P226 I can reach all the controls without shifting my grip. I'm also getting better accuracy, but that could be from a better fit to my hand.
The P226 just feels right. I put a set of Heinie sights on it and that's all it needs.
If when you mean self-defense you mean outside the home, concealed carry or any other type of carry. the edge goes to SIG
+SIG is lighter
+decocker only means you can be more sure of the condition of the weapon and not have to fumble with switches when it's important.
- SIG finishes leave something to be desired and in a tropical climate especially i think it could get ugly pretty soon.
The only way I wouldn't trade a beretta for a sig is if the beretta was highly customized.
Otherwise, trade it immediately.
The SIG, in general is a much better gun, esp. the 226.
