Out to the range with my GP100!

The small autos sure are tricky.
First range trip with my lcp custom was fantastic, hitting steel at 20 yards etc.

Took it out a week ago or so...different range...can't hit steel at half that distance.

I shoot a j frame very well so I'm back to that until I get some time to dial in the 380 again.

Nice that you got to head out and play a bit. You can’t go wrong with a nice GP like that one.

My newer vintage GP has the Hogue grips as standard, but I really like the older ones like yours. I just may go ahead and buy a set :).

Stay safe.

Good, I’m glad you got to shoot your GP100.:)
I think with more shooting / practice you’ll do better.
I bought my first Ruger DA a year ago. A GP100. I had some creative looking target art the first time I shot it and possibly a couple of free spirit bullets missed the paper. ;)
I wasn’t used to the trigger pull. Rugers are different from Smith & Wessons. Once I shot it a few times I was and am pleased with it.
Mine came with this gawd awful Day-Glo green ramp front sight. I changed it to a Hi Viz fiber optic sight.

Here’s mine with the white light pipe in the front sight. I have since switched to the red.

Interesting gun for target work or hunting, not a good defensive piece due to the low capacity nature. Very sturdy guns though.
