These seem to be widely available in South America, yet I rarely see them mentioned on British or US forums.

Do any THR forum members use them regularly?

Probably the single most used cleaning equipment in the United States.

Any Wally-World sells Outers products, and it's probably what most new gun owners buy. It's probably the replacement bore brush they buy because that's all they see for sale.

I think folks don't mention it much is because it's so common.
Gotta post about the newest Wonder-Cleaner, or the latest Miracle-Lube, dont'cha know!

I've used the metal seal as a rust preventive and it works pretty good.
I imagine their other products are ok too.

I'd say they must have "O.K." or "pretty good" products.

They've managed to stay in business for about 100 years now, and you can't do that selling poor products.

Outers is an old and respected supplier of all kinds of firearm solvents and other chemicals. Their marketing department just isn't as agressive as other companies.

When I was growing up in the 50's & 60's I thought Outers was the only thing in gun cleaning equipment. At least it was the only brand I saw and I still use parts of their gun cleaning equipment I bought over 40-45 years ago. While the bore brushes and like items are wear dependent and are a disposable item the rods and other cleaning jags should last a lifetime or more if taken care of.
