I went to the Gun Show this morning with two good friends, I wasn't really planning on purchasing anything. I stopped by the Anvil Arms booth that is ran by, it looks to me, a family (it looked like Dad, Mom, the kids and maybe some cousins). They make AR-15s and sell other gun things. I have been seriously considering getting a Pak-Lite with a Ruger MkIII 22/45 frame for quite a while and when my friend bought his, I was struck with a serious case of gun envy. I called the CFO to make sure that a purchase would not cause any serious fiscal issues and I got a green light to make the deal.
I wound up with a Ruger MkIII 22/45 bull barrel (I am not sure what the length of the stock barrel is but it is around 4 or 4.5 inches).
I also picked up the 4.5 inch threaded and tapped Pac-Lite barrel assembly and a compensator. I wasn't too sure the compensator would make that big of a difference, but I was wrong. Even the little 22 benefited from the recoil reduction.
One of the things that really struck me as amazing is that the complete Pac-Lite and 22/45 framed pistol weighs less than the stripped out barrel assembly of the original MkIII 22/45.
Here are some pictures (forgive me for the crappy lighting).

The dealer there was also selling some Gem-Tech suppressors. I am very interested in picking one up in the very near future.
Anyone know a manufacturer of a good quality kydex belt holster that will fit a Pac-Lite modified 22/45?
I took it to the range, but I only got to shoot for about 30 minutes. It fired great! I need to adjust the sights, but that can wait until I have an entire day to devote to shooting.
