Anybody have any experience with Pachmayr brand SIG220 magazines?

I just purchased 5 (all they had) of these mags at a local gunshop for $9 a piece but I have no experience with them. I shot 50 rounds of ball ammo using them this mags this afternoon and they worked perfectly but thats only 50 rounds in 5 mags so I can't say they are or not reliable.

These mags hold 7 rounds and are all stainless with the Pachmayr rubber pad on the bottom of the removable floor plate. One side has the Pachmayr shield logo and the other side marked "MADE IN USA". The follower is sainless and is the flat type.

Any information about quality of these mags and their reliability (or lack of reliability) would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a used one at a gun show. It has a weak spring and doesn't feed well. That is my only experience with Pachmayr mags. I am glad to hear that yours work well.

Seems to me that I recall the Pachmayr mags were made under contract by Mec-Gar, who was one of two OEM manufacturers for SIG.

I think you're probably fine if they're in good shape.

Regards,
Rabbit.

Thanks for your replies.

These mags were sold to me as new and they look like they were never used. There are no scratches on the tube and springs are very strong. I installed Sig factory 8 round followers in these mags but there was not enough room to fit 8 rounds so I put the original followers back and will use them as 7 rounders :(

I was thinking that these may have been made by MegGar but these mags are marked "Made in USA" so I don't think they were made by MegGar for Pachmayr as all MegGar mags are made in Italy. Maybe they were made by Triple-K or something :scrutiny:

I'll shoot few hundred rounds this weekend with these mags so I'll let you know who well they work.
