I just got a remington 700 .30-06 and a leupold scope (very proud of it)...everything is sythetic/matte black. I was thinking about painting camo, because this is my primary hunting gun. I just don't want the paint scratching off all the time and looking like crap. Also I don't want to mess anything up by painting in areas that shouldn't be painted.
Is there any method to painting a rifle, or do you just get a few cans of spray paint and go at it?
Any drawbacks to painting it?
Any alternative methods of camo that don't involve a permanent coat of paint?
Thanks
