If you don't know the area your odds are slim. If you three split up and hunt different areas, the weather cooperates and allows the bears to come out of hibernation, and hunt all season long you should all get bears. But you had better be prepared to work for them.
Take an ice saw, a can of peas and a can opener out to a frozen Montana lake. With the saw, cut a big round hole in the ice, large enough to accomodite a huge bear.
Next, open the can of peas and spread them around the hole, and hide and wait.
Then when a bear comes up to take a pea, kick him in the ice hole.
