HOT TIP! I ordered 2 Mosin Nagant rifles from Wholesale Gun www.gunsnammo.com. One was a Finnish Sako, hex receiver, exc. $170.00. The other was a Russian 91/30 with oiler, sling, pouches, and bayonet, $59.00.
The Sako is impressive. It's going to need some elbow grease to remove the packing grease, but once it is cleaned, and the wood is degreased, it will be a spiffy-looking shooter.
I got the 91/30 as an afterthought, since PRK processing allows for the same charge on paperwork per order, whether you buy one gun or 12.
The 91/30 is gorgeous!!! Absolutely beautiful. All the numbers match, including the bayonet. The wood is the most beautiful I've ever seen on a military rifle, let alone a surplus one, with deep, rich grain. It looks like it may have seen a few parades, but if it's had more than one stripper clip through it, I'd be shocked. The ad says "arsenal refinished to Like New", but this thing is "NEW"! Even my FFL was impressed.
They're on a 10-day wait, but when I get them, I'll try to post pics. Don't wait, though-these are the best damn surplus rifles I've ever seen. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. The website pictures don't do it justice.
