Sorry for the new thread, but I NEED your input on the marbles tang sight on your 1894. I just bought a 1894cbc, and my only peep sight option is the tang sight. Is one of the screw holes in the wood? Or did you d&t two new holes? Unfortunately my rear buckhorn doesn't fold down, so I'll probably remove it. How well does the rifle handle now? I would appreciate your input on this, as I am not a fan of the full buckharn rear. Thanx.
