Dude, you stole my design! Oh, OK, so I just sketched it and bought the stuff and didn't actually build it yet, but I was so proud of my idea to build a bar that sticks out to form a basket. Now I discover you have been reading my thoughts and stole my idea! Stop it! 
I do like your idea of mesh to let the wind pass thru. My plan was to stitch together some of that $1/yard material they sell on clearance at Wal-Mart but I didn't think about wind.
I'm planning on using mine mostly at a public range so I'm going to make it portable. I'm going to make T legs from PVC and fill them with sand to add a little mass for stability.
So how can I buy some of that blue mesh?
