What is the best, most durable to refinish a blued gun, who does it and approx cost, Thanks This is for a blued Colt 45 80 series

Hard chrome is the best - but, U never said what kinda gun it is.

Hard chroming a revolver is tricky. Some places won't do it, and I've prev read articles in magazines recommending that one not even try, because its very easy to screw up the gun... I don't own a revolver, so I can't comment on that personally.

I have several slides hard chromed - and it is super durable. Pretty much holster wear proof.
 
Hard chrome is the most durable but you can do an extremely durable finish yourself for a lot less. Check out lauerweaponry.com. They make Duracoat, a spray on cured finish that looks really good and is one of the most durable finishes I've ran across. I've used it a number of times and it's easy to do yourself. And no, I don't work for them! lol
