Plated bullets for light 44 magnum loads? Crimp?

If I use that taper crimp die, I would need to either switch to a powder through expander or get rid of the powder-check lockout die. Got any suggestions as to which is the better path?

Used to use Lee dies in my LNL AP and the Powder thru Expander really caused my press to jump upon extraction. Note: I was using this strictly for belling the case mouth in a separate station from the powder drop. I've since started using the Hornady PTX in conjunction with the powder drop and it has been working flawlessly with much less effort. Some people have had problems with these PTX's early on, but they have been re-engineered since then. This opened up a station for the addition of a powder check die. I just haven't decided on which one, yet.

Are you sure about the reengineering? I got a PTX and no matter how many times I spoke with Hornady or looked at the instructions I found the PTX to suck so I am using the lee die to feel the case mouth. It is not jumping on me very smooth.

Outside of the PTX I love my hornady LnL AP.

I use regular expanders in my LNL in station #2. I drop powder in # 3, then seat in # 4.
