hollywood elite are against YOU owning guns.
Arnie is against you having a .50 Barret.
He is entitled to his opinion, not my vote!

Believe me, if I were there, I'd vote for McClintock. Good luck but I don't think he has a chance. At least Ahnold is better than that other fella (Gray Dufus, I think) you got now.

Sure, vote for McClintock and elect Crud Boozamonte. You might as well punch out the hole for Crud.

Remember what Perot did to get Clinton into office - McClintock is doing the same thing in Calif.

If you think that McClintock is going to magically do something to restore your 2nd Amendment Rights in that state - you're spending too much time in the sun.

I've got news for you - Ahnold isn't going to do anything nice to California either. Vote McClintock. It's not like it can get any worse.

If everyone who wanted to vote for McClintock did, he'd win. And he deserves your support. CA is a lost cause. If there was ever a time to vote your conscience, this is it.

McClintock is much less likely to sign any anti-gun bill that shows up on his desk. I'm too young to remember or to have voted for Perot, so I don't know if Perot was any more Conservative than GHW Bush. I do know that McClintock is a lot more solid ofa conservative than Schwarzenegger. And he doesn't say 'children' as much.

What happens to McClintlock after the election, assuming he doesn't win? He seems like a decent guy.

My dad thinks the Republican party will abandon him and will never support him again for sabotaging the election. But I still have to sleep at night so I know where my vote is going. Being 'Republican' is much more than being conservative these days.

NO.

WHY!? McClintock has no chance of winning. Don't throw away your vote people. Having principles is one thing, ignoring the facts is another. Absolute stupidity. :banghead:

Arnold is not conservative or pro-gun enough, granted. BUT HE'S BETTER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE. A vote for McClintock = a vote for Bustamante.

Don't let your state be handed to Mexico.

Just we're outnumbered and do the right thing doesn't mean we're stupid.

OK we're stupid, but it still is the right thing.

Sorry but I can't vote for the Gropenator, my vote is going for McClintock. I cannot vote for Arnie knowing full well that he is anti-gun and said that he supports all the bans blah blah blah.

If your a gun owner, VOTE like one! If Boostmywallet gets in then so be it, it will just be the same as it was and prove how F'd up the Dems are.

McClintock will be fine if he doesn't win and can look forward to running again, they're just using scare tactics to try to get the Gropenator in.

Repeat after me, VOTE LIKE A GUN OWNER!!! VOTE McClintock!!!

If Arnold were to drop out of the race, Bustemonte would win. Why? Because Arnold is drawing votes from a much larger pool of voters than McClintock can reach. McC is too conservative for many CA, while Arnold is easily drawing votes from moderate Republicans and Democrats. McC is getting the Conservative Republican vote and Bustemonte is getting the liberals (less thos going Green et al) and those in the middle that won't vote for Arnold. Arnold is getting a few votes from McClintock, but he's taking a lot of votes from Bustemonte.

My goal in this election is to get rid of Davis and keep Bustemonte out of the Governor's office. Arnold is the only one who can do that. Would I prefer McClintock? Yes, but he can't win with just the Conservative Republican vote. There just aren't enough votes there and McC can't draw from the middle.

Ever wonder WHY Scharzenegger is drawing votes from both sides?

His liberalism on social issues is precisely the reason I'm NOT voting for him.

My absentee for McClintock is already mailed.

My FIRST inclination was to NOT vote at all. McClintock, as all worthy candidates, probably has no chance in this rotten system.

But.......I will vote for the man who closest matches my desires.

Even if it's wasted.

A voice of inexperience for big contributors.

But wot da heck? Busted Monty will probly "discover" that the original Spanish land grant for Calif. was improperly signed and we will all be on the Peso by Wednesday.

:(

A vote for Arnold is the worst possible option. Why? He's too liberal to fight against the liberal/socialist programs that are draining California's budget dry. If he wins, California will still go down the drain. But because he wears the "Republican" label, the Democrats will be able to shift the blame for their failed policies.

Bustamente = California goes down the drain, Democrats take the blame

Arnold = California goes down the drain, Republicans take the blame

McClintock = California has a chance to recover

It's that simple.

Remember, this is an ELECTION not a popularity contest. When you vote against your own best interests, you can never win.

If the polls are correct, then Arnold has it and McClintock is not a spoiler so might as well register a vote for a real conservative just to let everyone know that we exist.

I would vote for McClintock in any event--he is one of two who seem honest and the other is too much of a blissninny to make honesty of value.

Look at it this way. If Bustamante wins it will be with less than half the vote and he is on notice that he is there on sufferance with some hard core conservatives that refuse to accept anything less. If Arnold wins, Mr. Flash needs to realize that his version of Republican is not everyone's.

If a Republican wins then he is stuck with dealing with a heavily Democratic legislature and all the best intents in the world can be thwarted. He may even end up taking blame as Dufus--in all honesty--is. Not something I would wish on anyone. Maybe we really want the Democrats to eat the full slice.

In any event I see no downside to voting McClintock and do see an upside of getting some notice for conservatives.

No offense but I wonder just how low someone will sink to be practical.

I mean, say, if Hitler were the "practical" choice, would that be the lowest threshhold? Just curious.

Yes, it CAN get much worse. I live in California and I don't want it to. It doesn't matter whether McClintock is "better" or not, what matters is that certain policies are completely unacceptable. If Bustamante wins this Election it will be a tragedy not only for California but for the rest of America. A lot of people outside CA still don't get that. Arnold's not perfect but neither is Bush, yet he was preferable to Gore, was he not?

If you want to play in the political realm you need to think like a courtier, not like a philosopher-king. Incremental progress. Too many gun owners think like mountain men. That's fine but while you're up on the mountain the politicians are finding ways to raid your traps. The days of being "free" outside the system are over.

If everyone started voting on who they really want and ignored party lines, "reality", etc, WE might get the leaders we need!

I am voing for McClintock-and I lean to liberterian/independant.

If BustaMECHA gets elected, that's fine-he can sink this state and the whole US can see that the liberal entitlement society is a kiss of death for a economy.

It starts getting bad, all of us who love our freedom will leave and let this cesspool drown in it's own waste.

the less of two evils!

Skunkabilly

Someone much more clever than I said it best: the lesser of two evils is- evil.:scrutiny:

Say, are you running?;) :D

If Arnold were to drop out of the race, Bustemonte would win.

Actually the latest Gallup poll shows that if Arnold dropped out, McClintock would win by a commanding margin.
