Not blackpowder, but a cool one just the same...
H&R Model 299 "New Defender", 9-Shot 22 LR
Front & rear adjustable sights too; factory-made, it is basically a cut-down Model 999 Sportsman with the rounded grip (on the early birdshead "Rice" frame).
This one has a great action and shoots as well as my other Sportsman.

I recall many, many moons ago talking with someone with a chopped .44 of some sort with a statement of it taking 3.5” to burn the powder charge (30-35 grns iirc). Curious what others here find.
The gun is of unknown manufacture but may be an Armi San Marcos. I turned down the back of the cylinder and bored the chambers through with a 5/16" drill. I used .22-5/16" barrel liner to line the bore and chambers, then reamed the rifling out of the chambers. The look I was going for was 'Avenging Angel,' but the gun is so small Linda said it looked more like an 'Irritable Cherub.'
