Does anyone have any experience with Vectan powder? I just picked up their Reloading Data pamphlet and I noticed that in the pistol section there are no loads listed that use magnum primers. I expected to see the use of magnum primers on some of the 357 Magnum loads and 44 Magnum loads , but there isn't.

I used BA 10 back before they quit importing it. Good stuff and very cheap.

Haven't ran across and great deals now that they are importing it again but I am waiting.

I have a few pounds of Ba9. Seems like a fine powder. I've probably loaded 2,000 rounds with it to date. It seems fairly clean. It's a single-base powder I believe, which is different than most powders here that have nitroglycerin in them. I bought it back when powder was scarce and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more of it if I needed to. They also have all the needed loads posted on their web site.

Vectan Ba 9.5/Ba 9 are cut extruded powder like VV N320 but cut shorter and meters very well.

I have been doing load development with Vectan Ba 9.5 and Ba 9 on this thread - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...ectan-ba-9-5-ba-9.817796/page-2#post-10519646

Initial Ba 9.5 testing produced slightly smaller 25 yard 10 shot carbine group than my reference W231/HP-38 load with promise of matching IMR Target groups. When Alliant Sport Pistol/IMR Unequal become available, I plan to do comparison test Ba 9.5/9 with IMR Target/Unequal and Alliant Sport Pistol with W231/HP-38.

That is a bit odd...

Anyway, 9 & 10mm I've used GM3, Prima V, A0, A1, Ba9, & B7.5 - all good powders, though I'm not sure where Nobel Sport gets their velocities o_O
