I'm looking at selling my three month old walther ppk/s because it is a pain to shoot. The grip bites my hand on the knuckle between my thumb and index finger. The gun was an impulse buy and I thought that after shooting it for awhile that I would learn how to properly hold the gun to avoid the beavertail portion of the grip from biting me. No dice. I start bleeding after two magazines. It's not the slide, either. It's the grip. After I shoot it for awhile (this is nasty) there is blood on the underside of the beavertail from where it contacts my hand.
Anyway, I was wondering what I should expect for it. It's a .380 with about 300 rounds through it. Finish and bore are great, practically factory new. All original accessories are included (two magazines, case, manual, test cartridge brass and lock). If anybody has a blue book and can give me an approximate value, I'd be grateful. I'm anticipating somewhere around $300.
Also, I've never sold a gun before, but I realized that pretty much every gunstore buys used guns from folks. Is there some sort of universal method of doing so? I'm not sure if there are any laws applicable to the subject in Michigan. I know this would all be covered by someone at the gunshop but I'd like to go into the experience a little more prepared.
