Priest deals with aussie youths

Priest do not dress that way, I don't think it was a Priest at all. (It might be a deacon or some kind of lay leader.)

In this situation, it would be better, imo, to call the police instead of confronting them directly. There was no real danger to a person that I could see in this situation. But of course a large group could have turned on him aggressively.

I don't think he should have been poking or pushing at any of them as that could have resulting in a very bad reaction.

Who says priests don't dress that way? I see my priest in 'mufti' all the time, when he's not 'working'.

If he was a Preist, and those kids knew him to be a Preist. and proceeded to disrespect him in that manner anyway.....well, lets just say those kids need to have the REAL fear of God put in them.

Lousy strategy, awful tactics? :)

An American with a concealed carry permit would be foolish to behave as that priest did. Its gun free society evidently allows Australia much greater latitude in self expression.

This video is actually really good for S & T. Imagine you walk outside and the neighborhood teens are sitting on your car, riding bikes on your lawn, etc. When dealing with a group of teens things can go south very quickly if you don't approach the situation properly.

This video is an excellent example of how over-reacting simply escalates and exacerbates the situation and puts you at risk. Can you verbally confront teens who are tresspassing- yes, in fact, being a wimp or passive would only encouage them... but he obviously lets emotion get the better of him when he begins the direct insults. Once he makes it personal, the kids have much more incentive to stand their ground and counter insult.

Also, a "I'm calling the cops" might have helped give the kids an "out" here.
