My local gunshop has been getting primers in for the past month. They have been w/w and federal, mostly lr, lrmag. No price gouging and they limit us to 200 pcs. to let all get some. Pleantly of powder and brass too.

We are cautiously optimistic.

IF all the gunshops used limits for just 60 days, there would be no shortage.....

My local gun shop has very little in the way of reloading. But he trying to carry as much as he can get. I paid $29.90/1000 of CCI Mag large rifle #250 yesterday.

Guys a lot of wholesalers have cut discounts on primers.....take Jerry's for example...they not even list them on their web site any more. And, when they did they took away the 5K discount price.....so a lot of vendors are stuck with passing on the costs......

I was at the local Gouger Mt when the weekly shipment arrived. They opened it in front of me and pulled out 1 box of 100 CCI SP primers. I bought it for $3.99. They got 5k WLP's but I don't need those. There were some LP Federals too, but they had spilled in the master carton so they had a busy afternoon ahead of them.

I was in our local Sportsman's Warehouse today. They had no primers or powder but they did have bullets. Mostly Hornady and Sierra and only about 25 % of the shelves were stocked but it's the first time they've had any bullets in months. Is this the beginning of the end of the shortage? Let's hope so.

5000 CCI #400 small rifle primers showed up at my local supplier....first CCI's I've seen in months.

My local shop recieved 14k Federal small pistol primers on Wed, I got 2k thanks to the phone call I got letting me know they recieved them.

Paid $25.99 per brick.

found some yesterday, 60 miles from home! 6.95/br4 or 57/1000! last i paid was 3.29/100! i only got 2 packs but there was no limit i was jus not gonna pay that till i had to.

Yeah, I missed the email notification by an hour and of course they were gone by then.

Stuff is coming back in.

Local guy who hasn't had primers in months called me the other day to let me know my Varget was in. I asked him about when he might get primers, he said he had all on the shelf except small rifle in CCI. Had winchester SR however.

I haven't made it in there yet but talking on the phone he'd had CCI and Win LR in stock for weeks, and after a big rush he was selling just a bit more than usual.

He did bump the price to $32/1000 for CCI LR. I'll not be paying that. I'd already told him I'd take 1k, but that is the last I'll buy from him at that price. I am sick watching the scalping that goes on on Gunbroker.

Local shop here finally got a shipment of primers. I paid 39.00/1000. They said they were not gouging, that there price went up to get them. I got 2k but I still think they were gouging. Nice to have some anyway.

Local dealer had some on back order. Supplier shipped a 1k shipment. Dealer had to pay the hazmat. Maybe not as much gouging as you'd think.

Last time

After the 93-94 panic calmed down, the back orders were filled, and some dealers were drowning in product. I remember one dealer at a show with a table full of Rem primers, $50/5000, out the door. I still have a few cases of those. Good investment. Be Prepared

Well, I gave up on looking about a month ago, but this thread is sounding a bit more encouraging.

Maybe I'll make another trip to the store before too long!

(I'm painting the house this week, so I don't think I'll have any spare time... But, at least I have a goal for after I finish this project!)
