Ah, Ball State University. My alma mater. Best five years of my life.

The article is your typical lie-filled claptrap, but most of the responses to the article made me proud to be associated with the university (other than the fact that Letterman went there, of course).

nice responses. I'm actually surprised by the people at my school (UMD). I expected there to be at least one editorial whining about the end of the awb. There hasn't been a single mention of it. It gives me a little hope that maybe pro-gun MDers can use the apathy of the people in this state to get some decent legislation passed under their noses.

My favorite response was the one from the soldier in Iraq in support of the ban, saying that "No ordinary American citizen has the need for such a rifle, period. Citizens worried about home security will find that a pistol, shotgun, or hunting rifle can be just as effective, and lethal, as any assault rifle."

I wonder how willing he'd be to trade in his service rifle for one of those aforementioned weapons, seeing as how they are "just as effective".

I was also impressed with the poster before you that included a link to Oleg's A-Human-Right site. It would be interesting to hear her opinions afer visiting there.

The canned litney of the rabid anti gunner. This bimbo stating that now anyone can get an AK, UZI, etc, as if the day before the ban, you could not buy one. All the window dressing, in her little article, with no facts. But then facts were never in fashion when it comes to anti gunners.
If its any comfort, the same stupid drivel was in the Florida Alligator (UF's Student rag), written by the same type of over educated, intelligence challanged lil gal.
As always it is pointless trying to have a discourse with one of these pablum fed Brady clones. Not only are they unable to comprehend logic and fact, they are predisposed to ignore that. Hey, its all about the 'agenda', not the truth.
