Project Veritas - Police: You are on your own

Ive seen how this plays out. When I lived in a bad part of Akron, a neighbor on drugs brutally beat his girlfriend with a pistol. She had called 911 and I am told that the 911 operator could hear her being beaten and screaming for help. APD was on scene within a few minutes. They surrounded the house and tried to talk the man into coming outside. This process took about 45 minutes. Then they shot some kind of tear gas balls into the house from what looked like a paintball gun type weapon. He gave up and came outside 25-30 minutes later. I watched all of this personally through an upstairs window when APD arrived on scene. The rest of the info I was given by the battered girlfriend. Police will not protect you in most situations. Officer safety is more important than your safety. Yeah, maybe they will be there in just a couple minutes. But that doesnt mean that they storm your house like a swat team and rescue you. The swat team shot tear gas paintballs into the house and talked through a megaphone a lot. That really opened my eyes and I started to focus a lot more on home security and self defense. Thankfully that awful experience was just what my wife needed to jump completely on board and start buying her own guns, take her CHL class and also start attending tactical classes with me.
Good for both of you! Scenarios I was thinking about by cops being there when a crime was in progress were robberies in convenience stores, or banks. Or loonies in a mall. Public places. I had a multiple intruder home invasion thwarted by my wife at the front door, with some quick thinking. It's the reason I got my CHCL and joined several of these websites. We are looking for a sidearm for her this weekend.

The above scenario sounds like a disgrace.

Yea...you're on your own! But...if you do defend yourself...we'll let the criminal prosecute you for injury. Or his family can sue you to financial ruin in civil court. Or the state will prosecute you criminally if the state attorney general is up for election and sees a slight chance for conviction.

So, good luck with all that going right for you...(us).:fire:

did I say it just right for the sarcasm to seep through?

...It obviously would need to be stripped down significantly, get rid of the amateur clip art...

I agree, and the music too.
The content is great, but the music is so cheesy that I won't be showing it to any antis, and that's a real shame.
The style of the music is inappropriate and sends out the wrong message. It would have been better to stick with something more news/documentary style.

I was watching it thinking 'Great, I'll show this to the antis I often argue with!' and when the music came on, I thought 'Oh. Never mind...'
