I recently picked up a kinetic bullet puller and have pulled about 30 loaded rounds that I messed up on. They're 9mm Luger and I flared the brass too much and that cause the bullet to seat too deep.

With that said the bullets look good and I'm planning on re-using them. However I'm curious as to what I should do with the casings? The primer in them is good. However, I don't want to run them through the full length re-sizer 'cause then it will de-prime them. Since the primer is good I'm thinking this would be a bad idea. However since the casing is flared too much it'd be stupid of me to re-load the casing without resizing.

Should I just save the bullets and toss the casing/primer?

^^^^ +1

also if your really gentle you can usually push the primer out and reuse it. at least I have many times with no ill results

you could also run them through the bullet seating die without a bullet to get rid of the excessive flare.

When I have a primed case I save it. Occasionally my bullet feeder will malfunction. I then put the extra onto the shell plate at the powder drop/flare station and continue.

My press is a five station Dillon 650

This comes up all the time on reloading forums.

All the press manufacturers and many shooters say this is dangerous.

Others tell stories of doing this for years without problems.

Its up to you, but this is a well beaten horse.
