Damn shame he got cancer, sold off everything he owned fighting it.:(

Never said a word the whole time, either.

He once modified a P7 to fire when you squeezed the saftey, did it for a friend of his who could not shoot normally.
 
This gun puzzled me and i did some research.
there's an article on original Ares FMG in the 5th volume of Gun Digest Book of Assault Weapons. This article has images of original Ares FMG, and those are a bit different frm Oleg's pics. Also, this article claims that it was Eugene Stoner who designed FMG (but Ares patent # us4625621 fas filed in the name of Warin Francis J :what: - that's my own finding ;) ), and there was "another gunsmith who made similar gun from his own blueprints and managed to market it birefly". So i supose that Dave Boatman was that unnamed person from article, and i Googled him. Some hits are there, i.e.
