I ordered a Burris Fullfield II 2-7x35 and it was just delivered today. I plan to mount it on an A-Bolt .30-06.

Here's the question: On the site I ordered it from, AND on Burris' website, the scope is listed under "Rifle Scopes." When I took it out of the package just now, the scope and the Burris item # all match, but the box says "Shotgun/Muzzleloader" on the end.

Do you think they just put "Shotgun/Muzzleloader" on the box because of the magnification range? The Burris website doesn't even have a separate page for Fullfield II "Shotgun/Muzzleloader" scopes, they are just all listed as riflescopes.

Should I quit worrying about it and slap the thing on my rifle?

Nevermind guys, just talked to Burris and the guy I talked to said that they do in fact designate it as Shotgun/Muzzleloader because of the lower magnification range. No problems putting it on a rifle. Time to mount up...

Sounds like a good choice. I have had good luck with Burris scopes.

Those are still made in the Philippines, right?

Yep, this one is for sure. I don't like how the ballistic plex reticle is marked off for slugs and muzzleloaders though, it looks like THAT is why they call it Shotgun/Muzzleloader. That should really be in the product descriptions. I'm using it anyway, I like 2-7x and it seems like a pretty decent $139 scope though, can't wait to sight it in!

Pretty sure parallax is set at 100 yards.
Also pretty sure the hold-over points, at 7X, are the same as the 3-9X40 at 9X. First one should be about 1.5 MOA, second one about 4.5 MOA.

Here is what my reticle looks like:

Don't most of the Fullfield II rifle scopes have quite a bit more space between the holdover points?

1.54" at 100 yards is what the Burris site says for the first mark. That's the 3-9 specifically. That's not much space.
Shoot it and see, and let us know.
