Question about S&W M&P

I have an S&W PC M&P 40. When cleaning I noticed a pin on the underside of the slide apparently backed out some. I assume it s/b flush with the slide. I tried pushing it with a punch, no hammer.

Should I hammer it in, what is the correct position? I figured I'd ask before hammering....

Is that a red dot mounted on the slide? Did a mounting screw push the pin down?

Yes on the red dot. The pin is the one holding the extractor so it s/b flush with both the top and bottom of the slide. I found some you tube videos on it. I'll try to push it back in place, but the extractor must be lined up properly...will advise.

It seated easily with a few light hammer strokes on the punch. It will probably walk out again so I think I'll get a new pin and a few spares.
