quick check regarding 9mm prices

Was hemming and hawing between two brands of 9mm I wanted to buy and came back to the website this morning and found the case price for both brands raised by twenty some dollars.

Are 9mm prices starting to go back up? I hope not. Will the current Middle East situation affect 9mm prices? Just curious. Maybe the ammo I was looking at was originally on sale or something.

I bought two cases for $199/case last month. There's been a full blown invasion of a country of 43 million people going on for months, and no reaction from the market. Weird that a police action in Israel would cause an uptick in price.

It could be that supply is a problem with one commercial plant shutting down civilian orders to handle government orders? Or the accident at another plant?

Maybe sellers are getting greedy and using this as an excuse to drive another panic?

Neither Ukraine or Russia uses large amounts of 9mm Nato. Israel does, and of course the US military as well.

The Ukraine war doesn't even stress US small arms plant capacity much since we have exactly zero domestic production of the two most needed cartridges, 5.45x39 and 7.62x54R.

Demand is up, prices are up. The Israeli massacre, and now the Maine murders, have driven people to reassess their weapons and ammo, and then there are the new owners.

Not to mention a federal election coming up that will very likely not break in we gun owners favor.

Well there is one of the well known suppliers claiming they are over run and only selling cases. Prices have increased by 50 bucks a case. Blaming it all on current events. That being said others have plenty and have not increased prices. Never let a good crisis go to waste comes to mind. Still making up for losses during the plandemic when no ammo was available I guess...
