Finally got my son and his new Beretta NEOS to the range today.
Once we got it sighted in it shot very well. Had a few FTF's but we had some in other guns too using the same ammo.
Tried 4 or 5 different brands of ammo, all fed fine.
Didn't shoot any groups so I really can't comment on the accuracy. Sure made some pop cans dance though. Seriously considering a red dot sight for it.
I like the way it feels in my hands, maybe even better than my Ruger 22/45. The Ruger trigger is better though.
I'm going to put a bunch more rounds through the NEOS before I do anything with its trigger.

Great!!

Must say I'd find it hard to imagine anything I'd like much more than my 22/45 ... well, in the price range anyways. But certainly does seem the NEOS is getting quite favorable feedback.

Any ''quirks'' .. for instance .. mag loading, mag catch .. slide operation etc .. ? Does it ''feel'' good in the hand .. let's say ''pointable''?

Mag loading: rounds don't drop in as easily as they do with the 22/45 mags, they take a little 'nudge' to get them past the lips.
Mags drop free with no hangups, mag release is easy to reach.
Wish I could say the same for the safety. It's too far back, almost impossible (at least for me) to engage without changing my grip. Almost as difficult to disengage but not as bad.

Slide: very easy to pull back, as long as you pull straight back. If you pull up on it much it doesn't want to move.
I don't belive there is as much recoil (if you can measure .22 recoil) with the NEOS as there is with the 22/45. Part of that is that with the NEOS the moving part of the slide is small & light when compaired to the Rugers bolt.

I found the thing to be very pointable. I didn't get to shoot it a whole lot, kid didn't want to share his new toy. :D
I'll get it out sometime when I'm by myself and see how well it groups.
Let's say how well it groups for me, my pistol shootin' ain't all that accurate to begin with!

The first time I adjusted elevation I thought the screw was welded in there for a minute, didn't want to budge. It finally broke free and worked smoothly from then on.

Comon' out, we have room!
I'd have to ask you to pick up an old Navy buddy of mine in Jersy and bring him along too.
But then you'd probably turn out to be an Eagles fan too and I don't know if I could deal with two at once. :D

I crossed KS (and more) in the day last June goin West - East ... then took 2 more days gettin home.

Won't catch me goin near Jersey!! But he could come meet me here for rest of trip!! :p

Nice thought :) .. but no long trips this year .. too many items of gun expenditure already seen to that! :D
