Ready to add a new revolver

I have been looking around for a revolver to add to my weapon collection as a backup gun some days and IWB carry on other days. I came across Taurus 617 with snub length barrel on the "internets" and wondered if anyone here has this model? I have owned several Taurus pistols in the past so I am aware of their hit or miss quality.

I would go OWB and light-weight EIGHT-shot S&W piece. While FIVE-shot is better for IWB it just does not hold enough cartridges.

That is what attracted to me about the Taurus 617, it is not a 5 shot .357 like most revolvers in that barrel length and caliber. It is a seven shot. Capacity and reload speed are the Achilles heel of revolvers. OWB carry I have never been fond of since I rarely wear some sort of over garment since it is always so warm in Alabama. I am very much a jeans and Tshirt person. OWB with that type of wardrobe might as well be open carry.
