Reasonable Price for Win WLP & WSP Primers?

What's a reasonable prie for WLP & WSP primers these days? Are they as hard to come by as Rifle Primers?

$37/k is the most I would pay. If no one pays more than that the price will not go higher.

Can you find WLP or WSP on sale for $35/thousand? I haven't seen them around central Texas for that price lately.

Haven't seen any locally for some time. The reasonably priced ones on the web will be on backorder basis. Those that have them are getting premium prices and only the buyer can decide if willing to pay the extra costs.

Last ones I saw were at a gun show at the onset of the Great Panic of 2012. $39 a thousand. I wasn't smart enough to buy any, should have bought them all to sell for $60.

Last box of Winchester SP primers set me back $34 per thousand. A store here (second amendment) has them for 4.50 per hundred which is ridiculous.

LGS is selling them (ordered a year ago) for $30/k, after going up from $27/k. Not bad, but I still have a couple of full boxes I paid $13.50 for ten years ago...

I refuse to pay more than $30/K for primers unless they are NATO of BR primers but I have been known to be cheap. Before the crunch my LGS was charging $28/K for Win and CCI pistol primers.

I have a call list of roughly 10 local shops that carry reloading supplies that I poll every day, or every other day. My list of questions goes like this;

"Do you have any large or small pistol primers?"

"Do you have any HP-38/Titegroup powder?"

"Do you have any 9mm/.45ACP ammunition?"

The answer I usually get to all of those questions is "No". It's been that way for several months now. However, I do have 2 shops that occasionally get something I want/need. One will usually get the powder, the other will get primers. The one with primers is the only shop I've seen with them in the last 3 months. Price is $40/k.

Prices on factory 9mm/.45ACP is all over the map. If Academy/Walmart/Bass Pro has it, it will be close to a "normal" price. Anyone else? Expect to pay about 50 cents per round or more.

I hit the range anywhere from 2-3 times a week, and when other people are there, it's the same story; tough to find anything anywhere.

I've even got email notifications setup on several websites to notify me when components come in. No dice so far.

In the meantime, I've managed to scrounge enough components to keep me going for another couple/few months. I just never give up. I keep the polling via phone going, and pick up what I find when I can. I've seen magtech primers sold for $90/k. So, there's evidence that it's not lightening up yet in our area.

Yeah, I have emails set up for various SD ammo and I haven't gotten an email from anyone yet.

Naaa, you're not the only one, I have not sold a thing during this crunch.

I did give a close friend 1000 SPP and lent another 1000 LPP to be replaced when available but that's it. I was tempted to put 6X bricks of .22LR when they were going for $100/brick and use the money to buy a 55" Big Screen TV but I didn't even do that.

Since I got back into reloading about three years ago, I have not found primers locally for less than $5 per hundred. That is the reason I buy from PV. I should be OK for a couple of years.

They are going for $39.99/1000 locally near me in Atlanta. This shop has always sold them for that price though, so market price has caught up to their price.

Yes they are. Me included. I paid $44 for 1k SPPs a while back. Another store locally has them for $39.99, when you can find them there.
