The Golden Spike was a good big Schrade from old.

I picked up a "made in China" Schrade Whittler by mistake awhile back and it's really not a bad knife. Fit and finish are good and the blades stay sharp.
Not like the older stuff though!

I am now seriously considering the SCHF9 model. Looks like a good design.

I bought a '70's era Schrade lock back on flea-bay for under $50.00. Was hardly used and in perfect shape...
