I recently posted that I had bought a Ruger Old Army at a on-line auction site. It arrived the other day and it far exceeds my expectations. It looks like new. It has a seven and one half inch barrel with the inscription stamped on top of it, "MADE IN THE 200th YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY." It also has adjustable sights. I am proud to be the owner of this all American made revolver. There is nothing comparable to it when it comes to quality, workmanship, etc. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase a holster for the Ruger Old Army, 7 1/2" barrel with adjustable sights. I have been searching the internet but cannot find one that would be a guaranteed fit, it having the adjustable sights. Thank you.

BigBadGun of this site will build you one for a decent price.

The Bianchi in the photo is for sale for $50 (I am left handed).

I have the same ROA in stainless from circa 1981. It came with the flap holster with the Ruger logo on the flap and was made by Bianchi for Ruger. Beautiful workmanship but neither Ruger nor Bianchi offer it anymore. Might be able to find a used one.

The suggestion to try Big Bad Gun is a good one. I've heard nothing but good reports about the work and in the end you know it will fit your gun and at a reasonable price. I am not a holster aficiando (sp?) but I consider the ROA to be a gun for the generations and it deserves some fine leather to protect it. I recently got a second ROA (blued) and I plan to order from BBG. Good luck with your search.

Thanks for the information concerning finding a holster for my ROA. Exactly how do I contact Big Bad Gun of this site?

Holsters

I really like El Paso Leather- I order the same style holster for all my pistols- the Patton model- gives great support- wears well and if I use the same style for all my revolvers- its easier to use them without a thought-

hope that helps!

that Bianchi holster was originly sold for the 45 colt SSA. if the ruger fits in it well then most any colt 45 holster must work for your ruger.

here is my same holster with a colt in it. holster was from 1971. it came with bullet loop belt. not produced any more.
