Recipies for Win AA 12 Hulls?

I'm looking for a good recipe for the following 12 AA hulls. They shoot very well in my Benelli Montefeltro, but at 1300fps it still has an undesirable kick. I'm considering on buying this ammo in bulk and reusing the hulls.

Are these quality hulls for reloading?
Are they reloadable multiple times?

What's a good recipe for sporting clays (8.5-9size lead) using this AA hull?
Note that they need to have enough power to cycle in the Benelli.

OR

Should I forget the AA's and buy Remington STS ammo?
Never tried remington sts ammo, any recommendations?

The Win AA hulls are not as good as the AA hulls from a few years ago. They now are a two piece hull with a plastic basewad. I haven't loaded shotgun shells in a while but what I did load the wad lips would hang on the plastic basewad. Still a loadable hull but from what I've read and in my limited experience with the new AA two piece hulls, I'd prefer the Remington STS, Premier hulls today. Reports I've read is that the STS hull will last several more loadings than the new AA plus that a lot of AA hulls will split at the crimp sometimes after only a couple loadings. The STS is reported to crimp easier than the new AA. Plenty of discussion on the AA versus STS hulls on the web.

While the new wads from ClayBusters & DownRange are slightly tapered to get over the 2-piece joint of the new AA hull, I'm not impressed with reloading it like I am with the 'Gun Club' or STS hull. Once my stash of one-piece AA hulls are gone, I'll use the 'Gun Club' hull:
1 oz #8, DR XL-1 or CB1100, 18.4gr Clays over a W-W primer and then to RIO's when the pocket loosens up.

i appreciate the advice. Think I might buy a case of sts and see how it works in my gun.....

Though I like the AA load mentioned above, might transition to sts hulls.

the black Remington Game Load hulls are very economical for reloading everyday stuff

I still load them with no problems. I load 7/8 and 1 oz loads using both Claybuster and Downrange wads with both Red Dot and Clays. I've even loaded them with Windjammer wads with good luck. I actually prefer them over the Gun Clubs because I don't care for the steel base. Now the STS hulls are a different matter. BAck to the original question. Load and shoot them!

I think that's a good choice.

Remember, when loading shotshells you MUST use the exact components in the loading recipe. You can not change anything unless it's a direct replacement component. Lyman has an excellent load manual for shotshells and Hodgdon's online site has a lot too.

AA's are excellent hulls. For clays I have a recipe that I've been using for more than 3 decades. But before I share it with you, know that it's probably not a published load and should be approached with a standard published work up that is consistent with the Mec. powder bushings.

#36 powder bushing, Red Dot, 1 1/8 oz. shot bar, and the appropiate wad colum.

I strongly recomend you pick up a good shotshell loading book "One Book, One Caliber" as an example. That book has tons of data that corresponds with many different hulls & powder bushing charts.

The Lyman Shotshell Manual 5th Edition is a very good book to own. It is one of the many Lyman manuals I own and all are well worth the price.

I have Lyman Reloading Manual #39, #45, #46, #47 and #49.
I also have Lyman Cast Handbook 3rd Edition and 4th Edition.
AND, The Lyman Shotshell Reloading Handbook 4th and 5th Edition.

I have several Speer manuals and a few others but if I had to keep only 1 company's manuals it would be Lyman.

Look up the WAALite loads on the Hodgdon websirte. Plenty of lower velocity/lower recoil loads using WAA Lite as well as a num,ber fo other pwders. Also the Alliant website has tons of data for their powders.
