Recommend me an animal defense spray legal in MI

I walk with my kids in local parks and sometimes encounter idiots with their 100 lbs dogs running around unleashed and jumping on people while the owner yells from 30 yards away "he's just playing !"

Reading on all the cases where kids are mauled by the dogs - some of which never attacked anyone before - makes me really nervous. OTOH, shooting a dog just because he runs towards your child is an overkill and likely to result in a nasty lawsuit.

So, can someone recommend me an animals defense spray that's Michigan legal, pocket size, and sprays far enough to be a deterrent ? Thanks !

Not more than 10% OC and not more than 35 gm.

If you're concern is dogs then Mace makes a product specifically for them.

BTW, sprays aren't "deterrents". You use them in response to a violent threat.
