I just grab whatever duffel bag i can find first. at one time I was thinking about investing in a dedicated bag but I cannot justify spending big money on a bag that they call a "shooting" bag. the only dedicated bags i have are for tools, my camera, and my laptop. The rest are a any bag for any purpose...
I suggest you use a duffel/travel bag that is big enough to fit all the stuff in it...
Mike's range bag. Best range bag than most twice the price.
Bigger zippers, tough nylon construction, well thought out storage. And the handles to lift it no matter what you fill it with. It'll hold about four or five 250 round boxes of 45 in just the compartment area alone. You still have enough side pockets to pack 2-3 range pistols, magazines, earplugs and more.
I like a dedicated range bag. Sure I could use something else, but having a shooting dedicated bag just works well for me as I don't have to unpack it if I don't want too.
As for camping, the range bag often stays home as I have a tendency to overfill and not send all the extra weight downrange.
I picked one up at Dick's sporting goods some time back, and it has worked quite well. I think I've seen the same model at my local Wally World, at a better price.
I purchased an Uncle Mike's from Midway for $50 and it's a great size and of good strength and quality for the price. If it were larger and filled with guns, ammunition, etc. it would be too heavy to be practical.
