Should be just fine. I have two nikons and have had a total of five. The have all been decent scopes. I have a mil-dot buckmasters on my 257 weatherby and it holds zero great despite being knocked on a dashboard pretty good while I was getting after an antelope.
I have Nikon glass on everything I own with glass on it. That being said, I am not a huge fan of the refurb's because you only get a 90 day warranty. Buy a new one and you get a lifetime warranty. For around $170 you can get a brand new Prostaff 3-9x40 and have one less worry.
ive got one refirbed monarch and two team primos refirbs. I also have 3 other monarchs on one boughten new team primos. I cant tell the differnce in any of them other then that the refirbs lightened my wallet alot less
