Reloading for a 45 acp, I was wondering if the load data for 230 gr RNFP and 230 gr LRN would be the same.

Assuming all else is equal except the COL, it will depend on the space that the bullets occupy in the case. With more of the bullet in the case means the the pressure will be higher.I was wondering if the load data for 230 gr RNFP and 230 gr LRN would be the same.
Win 231Considering that we don't even know what powder you're using...the answer would be no.
Both cast, only load data I find is for LRN, just wondering if I could load RNFP using that data. Will be if they're both cast or both jacketed bullets. You load for the weight, not the shape, but do not use jacketed data for cast bullets.
Your pistol might need a bit of tuning for FP's though. Isn't a big deal and it depends on its age. New pistols are usually FP(SWC) ready. It's just a matter of extending the feed ramp about half way up the sides of the chamber.
