Hi
Most of the online data lists jacketted bullets. I wish to reload for several rifle calibres using Lead Bullets. Both gas checked & not gas checked.
(0.223/30-30 Win./0.308/6.5x55 Swede/7x57 Mauser.
Which books contain the best/most information for reloading using lead bullets of various weights or are there any websites with lead bullet loading data that I not found.
Cheers

Lymans cast bullet reloading manual for the book. Another vote for both the Cast Pic and the Cast Bullet Association website but I would add one more site for great info on lead casting but no reload data and that is the Los Angeles Silohuette Club . Many fine articles there as well as discussion on lead alloys and their correct applications based on pressures that will get you on track far quicker.

10 Spot

When you go to the Cast Boolits website, do a specific search for each of the cartridges that interests you.

There is a HUGE amount of info for most of the ones you listed; far more data than in ANY handbook on the market. For instance, in the "CB Loads/Military Rifles" forum, I have a long thread on the .308/7.62 NATO that runs over eleven pages and fifty thousand views.

Prepare to spend some time, reading all the available loading info!

Lyman #49 and the Lyman casting book are both excellent resources for lead boolits.
Even though our present times allow for internet research from powder and bullet manufacturors, everyone should still have a hard copy manual on hand. Or two or three or four............

The Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook and the Lee manual have the most cast bullet loads. The Cast Boolits website is a greeat reference as well, but I have trouble with it since I get so easily sidetracked there. (reading stuff that has nothing to do with what I was looking for)

The LEE reloading book has good technical info on cast bullets for both rifle & handgun. (Chapters 9,10,11) The book also has cast lead loading info through out the book for most all calibers.
