It's a 12 gauge 20 inch barrel magnum express for $100... DAMN! Took the jump. Bought it from a guy who retired from hunting and haven't shot it for years. Still in very good condition...

Don't need a shotgun, but for $100? hell yeah!:eek::eek:

Good deal? You can't get a blue Rem. Wingmaster 20" barrel in very good condition for $100 anymore. A whole Express? Absolutely!

Hello friends and neighbors // I agree with Al LaVodka you found a great deal on a fine shotgun.

With in the last 6 months I paid $75.00 for an 870 Wingmaster ventilated rib barrel, cut down to 18 3/4" , with a large bead sight already installed.

I thought I did good just finding it. Wish it would have been attached to a shotgun.:D

You win the best deal of the day award! Like others have said, a used barrel would cost you more than that. Happy shooting-

how effective is a 20" barrel for bird hunting? my brother owns the same gun except it's 28" barrel...

Shame on you for doing that to a retired hunter. Send it to me quickly, and say 10 "Hail Mossburg's" for redemption of your sins to humanity!

On quail over a pointing dog, it would be murder- so much so it isn't even sporting.

On doves over a corn field- you need a longer barrel with some choke. But extra barrels for 870s are widely available and not overly expensive. Take a look at http://www.corsonsbarrels.com/ or http://www.barrelexchange.com/, ask at local gun shops etc. Most Express barrels will be 28" vent rib barrels with RemChokes, there are some 26" ones available too. Either will do.
