Remarms BDL and CDL calibers

They need to drop the the ADL support completely. Every Rem 700 action coming off the line is an ADL action. Due to this there is a lump at the back of the opening for the magazine well to support the front screw on the trigger guard. If they dropped this feature they would be able to feed rounds at least .1 inches longer on either action (very close to 3.00 OAL in a short action) without creating a medium action.

They need to get rid of the current bolt stop and go to an external Mauser style bolt stop. Reaching into the trigger guard to release the bold is a bad plan all around.

Barrel nut, just like the 783 and Savage. The 700 needs a barrel nut so the user can change barrels. There is no advantage to the 700 barrel mounting system other than requiring special fixtures to replace the barrel.

Machine critical mating surfaces on the receiver, like the barrel threads and locking lug slots, post heat treat.

The problem that Rem Arms is up against is I can get all of the above and more build a Remington 700 exactly the way I want it and never touch a single Rem Arms (or former Remington) manufactured part. This speak to how widely accepted the 700 is but this success is now Rem Arms biggest problem. Why would I buy a questionable Rem Arms product when I can buy a proven 700 clone.
Good point. That why they make so many clones.

I think sometimes we forget that the average deer hunter isn't hanging out on gun forums spending countless hours debating cartridge efficiency, twist rates etc.

True, but it does seem that Remarms has forgotten that the average firearm buyer in 2022 is NOT a deer hunter, rather not a hunter at all.

I agree, but I was on a site last night and it looks like they're also turning out some of their 20" and 26" tactical and varmint models. Also the M7s I'm seeing with the 16" threaded barrels seem to indicate they're listening to at least the guys that want suppressor ready rifles.

I'm just taking more of a "we'll see" approach, IMHO it's still early yet in their re-start.

I am very impressed with Rat107. He posted a video of hitting a target one mile away with a factory stock Remington 700 Long Range, with Factory 30-06 ammo and a cheap scope. Makes one pause.
