Remington 700 SPS VARMINT ?????

I didnt know Remington made an SPS Varmint or a Tactical for that matter. Is there really such a thing or are people just refering to the SPS as a varmint rifle??? I'm kind of confused on this one because the remington catalog doesnt have a 700 SPS Varmint listed???? Please Help clarify this one?

There is a SPS Varmint. It's listed in the 2007 dealer catalog. If you go to gunbroker you can search for "Remington 700 SPS Varmint" and you will get a few results. It's basically a cheap heavy barreled rifle. I assume it's meant to directly compete with the "lower end" savage heavy barreled rifles out there.
