Quick question
By chance I ran across an 870 at a pawn shop today and it was a little unusual in that it lacked any identification beyond the 870 model name, i.e. wingmaster, police, etc.
On the left side of the receiver it read only "Remington 870." The serial number contained the prefix 'AB,' barrel was marked CYL. Synthetic stock, extended mag tube & looked to be parkerized with wear.
Would this be an early express model? I know relatively little about shotguns and this little mystery piqued my interest.
