Look around among different dealers, you should find several relatively easily. There are a LOT of 870s out there- some 10 million or so.
But a hint- if you wait till hunting season is over, you're more likely to have a wider choice and find better prices. At least in this neck of the woods, there are a good number of hunters who buy a shotgun for hunting season, use it for a few months and then sell it because they need the money for something else. The 'off season' is a better time for good deals around here.
OBTW- I've been shooting 870s for going on 40 years, and have yet to buy a new one.

Not too long I would imagine, I've never bought one new as well, have 3, all were bought off season. the prettiest one was bought for $225.00. Theres deals out there, if you can wait.

How often can you find used 870s? Constantly. They have made ten million of them. They are everywhere.
I worked at Gander Mountain a few years ago. I could search their country-wide used gun database and find whatever I wanted. If a customer wanted to buy it, store-to-store shipping was free. They have upgraded their computer systems since then, but this type of search might still be possible. Go talk to somebody there.

i have sold numerous bass pro shop gift cards to people. i know of two guys at my church that shop there all the time. if i get a gift card there and find a better price for what i want somewhere else i sell them the gift card and use the money towards the item i want at the better price. just a thought.
