I managed to find one in g or gs model; a shorts only model. it is completely pitted, wood is pretty bad, but it functions perfectly and is a takedown model.
It is the only semi auto 22 I have now, and will have no others. it is supremely accurate. I let a dude fire it at 50 yards at the range, he was fireing a 223 pistol, and on his first shot, it put a cb short right on the top of his target dot. I believe it is the actually first browning design, that he origionally tried to sell to remington, and they finally got around to doing it.
Very reliable, super fun, super light, that may be a bit more than I would pay for it, in that condition, but you will like it. I think the 24's also had a bit of a floating chamber type thing going on, so it should eat a wide variety of 22 ammo. I wouldn't shoot hyper velocity through it though, and if it is a very early model, it may not put hi velocity 22 ammo, on your target, without being several inches high, even with your rear site on it's lowest setting.
So I would ask the seller for a 1 week tryout, to make sure that hi speed ammo, will be on target at 50 yards.
