I have this Yugo SKS. It has this notoriously heavy wood stock on it that makes it nearly has heavy as my M1A. I am looking to replace the stock with a lighter synthetic one, but I have a couple questions.
First, I am aware the Yugo is different in some respects than most other SKSs. Do I need to find a stock specifically for the Yugo or should my Yugo work with pretty much any standard SKS stock?
And secondly, I know it is kind of weird, but I'd like to keep the bayonet mounted, if able. I was looking at the Choate synthetic but noticed it looked I have to lose the bayonet. Is there any aftermarket stocks out there that allow me to keep the bayonet on the rifle?
