Went to J&G sales in Prescott AZ this week and looked at some used S&W revolvers (Model 10s -as advertised in the Shotgun News). I want to thank Jim March and all who contributed to the "revolver check out thread". I printed out the text and used it to look over and judge the firearms. The sales guy had a perplexed look on his face when I did some of the testing but was patient. I found the thread very helpful for someone like me who has some knowledge, but not great depth of knowledge about actions.
Oh, I ended up getting a 4 in. Model 10, blued. It really shoots well, I am quite happy. Found out on the S&W forum that it is circa 1981.
