Has Any Fired Or Heard Anyhting About The Robinson Armament Xcr Modular Weapon System. I Am Considering Buying One Instead Of An Ar 15 And Was Wondering If There Is Anyone Who Has Fired Or Has Any Reviews Of It
I have heard that Robinson Arms wants to go out of business. They have enodorsed Mitt Romney and Romney is for another AWB therefore Robarms wants to close shop!!
As for the weight, a Colt 6920 starts out at 5.95lbs, add a railed forearm for about 6 more ounces. The XCR starts at about 7.5, by the time you add the normal doo-dads you’re looking at about a 9lb + carbine.
You’re also right that it’s right now the most versatile rifle out there, but there’s some others on the horizon like the SCAR and MASADA that will give it a run for it’s money.
A Colt 6920 doesn't have a piston, railed forearm, monolithic upper, folding stock, etc.
Colt tries to avoid selling evil rifles to civis altogether... I don't see everyone calling for a boycott of Colt.
RA actually sells evil rifles directly to civilians. Think I give two ****s who Alex Robinson supports for President? I could care less. Something about a small American company designing, producing, and coming to market first, with a SCAR spec superior rifle, ahead of all the big European companies just makes me all warm inside. Did I mention its a superior rifle?
The newest generation of tacticool rifes (FN SCAR, Masada, XCR) are basically "product-improved" rifles with all of the stuff retrofitted onto ARs and AKs (rails, flat tops, changable barrels, adjustable LOP and cheek height) designed in from the onset, combined with some stuff the AR cannot do (folding stock).Sorry to upset owners, (I'm sure it's a great rifle) but it just seems like a gimmick to me,
